Our Process

Step 1

Measured Survey:

We carry out a measured survey of the project.  This involves taking exact measurements of your property to assist with creating the existing and proposed floor plans.

The survey usually takes around 2-3 hours to complete depending on the size of the project.

Step 2

Existing Drawings:

Existing floor plans, section and elevations completed.  These drawings show what your property currently looks like. 

Timescale: 5 working days

Step 3

Scheme Development:

Proposed floor plans, section and elevations are development inline with your design brief, demonstrating various options available together whilst working with the restrictions of the site.

Timescale: 5-10 working days

Step 4

Planning Documents:

Once the preferred scheme has been selected, proposed drawings will be finalised ready for determination by your Local Planning Authority.

Chapman's Architecture Ltd will carry out the submission process on your behalf and act as your Agent throughout the determination period.

 

Timescale: 5 working days

Step 5

Planning Application:

We will carry out the submission process on your behalf and act as your Agent throughout the determination period.

Upon submission, the 'Planning Portal' will request fee payment which will be sent directly to you.

Once payment has been received, the application will be passed over to your Local Planning Authority to validate and provide the determination date.

 

Timescale: 8 - 10 Weeks

Step 6

Building Regulations:

Following receipt of the Planning Consent and instruction, Building Control drawings will be generated for submission to your chose Building Control.

 

Timescale: 1 - 2 Weeks depending on the project scale.

Step 7

Building Control Application:

Once the Building Control has been chosen, our documents will be submitted for approval.

 

Timescale: 2 - 3 Weeks depending on the project.
